Developing a Structured Leadership Pipeline for Petrobras Africa

Background: 
Engage was hired by Petrobras Africa to implement a program to develop the high potential junior, middle and senior managers, which was called “The Big Push”. 

Project Overview:
'The Big Push' was a one-year program designed by Engage to develop a strategic plan, train in the most updated managerial and leadership skills and techniques with the final goal to improve alignment of all employees’ values and behaviors, leading to a sustainable business outstanding performance.

Engages’ Contribution
During the program the Engage team exhibited skills and knowledge characteristic of a professionals with a vast professional and educational background, combining strategic business and professional knowledge and experience. Drawing business insights from understanding functional and business realities and stakeholder needs.

Engage completely understood our needs and worked with us to identify and successfully overcome the obstacles to the of this strategic HR initiative. Through a variety of change interventions facilitated by Matthew and his Engage team we developed a strategic plan with key objectives that each senior lead worked collaboratively with their teams, middle/junior management skills workshops, and executive management coaching.  

Outcomes
During this year, the knowledge and professionalism gained by the team influenced the way the senior managers, including the Managing Director, managed the Company, resulting in a more focus and efficient organization.   

Due to the success of the initiative Petrobras Africa is working with Matthew and Engage to roll out similar initiatives in each of its African Entities across the continent.
